Hello from Southwest Arkansas,

Welcome to the home page of Miller County Judge Cathy Hardin Harrison. This page is maintained by supporters and friends of Cathy with updates and input provided by Cathy herself.

Cathy has been a lifelong Republican and resident of Miller County, Arkansas. She joined the Miller County Republican Committee and increased her activity and interest to eventually become the Treasurer for the Committee and an active State Committeewoman.

In 2014, Cathy made the decision to run for public office and won the race for Tax Collector for the county. In 2018 after prayer and discussion, she decided to pursue the position of County Judge. Cathy became the first Republican female County Judge in Arkansas and the first for Miller County in 2019.

Almost immediately after taking office, COVID-19 swept the country with a pandemic in the early months of 2019. Cathy worked diligently with other local, state, and federal officials to help ensure Miller County was able to have updated information, assistance, and services during that difficult period of time.

In 2021, Cathy oversaw the emergency move of the Miller County Courthouse when frozen pipes burst causing significant damage to the historic courthouse. The offices of the courthouse were forced to move during that time period. Cathy's office was able to obtain grants and funding to make repairs and update the entire courthouse, a project that continues.

In early 2022, Cathy coordinated the move of all county offices back into the Miller County Courthouse. The move was greeted with a positive response from the community and support from several grants making repairs possible, and timely without hindering the county budget.

Today Cathy continues to work hard for Miller County by working to update and keep emergency communications in place for the county, overseeing the successful implementation of the county solar farm, and continuing to oversee the updates to the Miller County Courthouse.

The position of County Judge in Arkansas has long been associated with road repairs and updates, but in the time of Cathy Hardin-Harrison, the office is expanding to complete work in all areas of need for the county.
